Overwhelm, stress, worry…

Do you struggle with this?

Most of us do, In fact I’ve never heard of anyone not feeling these emotions on some level or another.

I used to really struggle with this to the point it would consume me and and I wasn't able to make decisions with clarity, felt confused and didn't know where to  begin. The stress would come out on the the people I love the most and then I would regret it later.

This cycle of overwhelm and regret is no way to live.

Overwhelm and stress can come from thoughts in your conscious and subconscious mind.  Meaning unless you dig deep into your self talk, it may not be apparent at the surface level.

I recently worked with a mom who was overwhelmed and helped her gain clarity to take action on areas of her life where she was stuck. She was overwhelmed and worried about the transitions of starting a new job and managing expectations at work and at home with her family.

Her mind was consumed with thoughts about the previous negative experiences she’d had. She was imagining that she might experience the same thing again in this new job, and it was preoccupying her constantly. She was fatigued, mentally drained, and procrastinating. It was preventing her from taking charge and planning with clarity for the new transitions.

In my coaching work, I see this a lot with high achieving, professional working moms who are doing it all. Being everything to everyone. Contrary to belief, what holds them back and causes the overwhelm is not all the things that need to be taken care of, but the thinking around it!

The thinking is what causes the energy drain, procrastination and stress.

None of us can predict the future.

What is in our control is the energy, heart and mind we bring into it.

We can stay present in this moment, avoid pre conceived notions which can bring about a self fulfilled prophecy.

What you put in is what you'll get out. Your intention, energy, a clear and quiet minds empowers you to take charge, take action, and be productive.

When we can do that, we feel fulfilled and good about ourselves when our head hits the pillow at night.

And this mom didn't even need to do anything. She just realized where her thinking was at. Realizing, the past is gone and the future hasn't happened, her thinking came back to the present moment. Mind clear and ready to take charge.

In this video I share some ways you can spot this in your life and how to get out of the cycle of overwhelm, stress and procrastination and regret.
